This month, you may have seen a lot of green. St. Patrick's Day shamrocks, green cash tax refunds for buying "green" products, and maybe even a few green blades of grass popping up in your lawn. And of course, you've been eating green given this year's National Nutrition Month® theme, Eat Right With Color!
 
But don't stop seeing, buying, eating, and thinking green once March is over. "Going green" is not just a good slogan for protecting the Earth; it's also a great slogan for protecting your health! Over the next few weeks, fresh, green produce will be plentiful (and affordable) at a grocery store or farm market near you. And you'll see your neighbors enjoying the green grass and blooming flowers and trees on their evening walks. 
 
Spring into action by getting your friends, family members, and co-workers to join you in "going green" for better health. Think it's "not easy being green"? Here are some tips from previous SUAE blogs:
 
At the very least, vow to throw at least 3 green foods into your grocery cart each week. Leafy greens, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, green beans, green onions, kale, avocado, green apples, green grapes, cucumber, honeydew melon, kiwis, limes, zucchini, spinach, peas… with that variety there's no excuse not to!
